10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage is "Wrong!"

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans

My Future Computer

Ok, I am a computer geek! I built my computer and through the years I upgrade pieces here and there and it's about time to build a new one to keep up with the times.
The following is a list of 'parts' I plan to eventually get to build my new computer.
This is a working list. It may change before I can actually buy everything, Granted, I want the best, but I have to be reasonable as far as expenses are concerned since I can't really afford much...

New CD/DVD Burner:
Plextor PX-850SA (SATA) $44.99
(It's a trusted brand I have used for years, they don't burn out as often)
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4312703&CatId=1624

I could always do the Blu-Ray version...
Plextor PX-B310SA (SATA) $219.99

CPU and Motherboard combo (No need for new RAM!) $349.99
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz Socket 775

Asus P5Q Green Motherboard

A bit of Specs: Max RAM, 16GB DDR2 - USB2.0, 6 rear, 12 total - 1 Firewire - 8 SATA headers - 1 IDE header - 3 PCI - 2 PCIe X1 - 1 PCIe X2
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4177360&Sku=MBM-P5QG-Q6700

Power Supply (I'm Spoiled, it has to be modular)
Kingwin 600-Watt $99.99
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4256921&CatId=2496

A new Video Card. Yes, I have a nice one, I think ATI ALL-in-Wonder 9600, it has 128MB ram and has TV in/out, etc. I never use the extra stuff and 128MB for a video card in todays age is lame. It used to be good, so my choice or something similar is 512MB - Extras not necessary.
XFX GeForce 9800 GT - 512MB GDDR3, PICe 2.0, Dual DVI, HDTV, VGA $129.99

A new sound card? Not really needed. I can use the one from my current PC, and my current PC can get along with the On Board sound, not that important. It will just be an internet/extra PC when done.

A new monitor, WideScreen, 22" or larger. Contrast Ratio of 2000:1 or higher.

Computer Case ( I may list a few, they are just cool!)
$139.99
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3829123&CatId=1842
$79.99

Stuffed Animals are Children Too!

Each holiday for Christmas the corporate employees get a grab bag of sorts as a gift from the company to you for the holidays. It's not entirely too bad, I got a Canon Elph 10th Anniversary deck of playing cards, as well as a cool Canon keychain (I'm a photographer and yes, I am a Canon fan). In the bag with all the goodies was a Teddy Bear. Now, I have a history with this bear. We have given them away for special sales in the past in our retail stores, and we have also sold them. I haven't been in the store for over 3 years, but I remember these bears were everywhere! We had piles of them in our stores, and when I got my job at corporate, I was free of the bears...
Until now. In all that time I had never even taken a bear home with me. It seems like a sick joke that I am given one now.

Anyway, Back to the story, As I remove the flat and matted bear from the plastic bag (they ship 25 to a tightly packed box), I grabbed it by the arm and began to shake it violently. One of my co-workers looked up at me with horror in her eyes!

"If you're just going to abuse that bear, then give it to me!"

"If you read the piece of paper in the bag, it says you are suppose to shake them like this to fluff them up! Didn't you read the piece of paper?"

The look on her face was enough to keep me grinning for a while!

Gay penguins steal eggs from straight couples

A couple of gay penguins are attempting to steal eggs from straight birds in an effort to become "fathers", it has been reported.

The two penguins have started placing stones at the feet of parents before waddling away with their eggs, in a bid to hide their theft.

But the deception has been noticed by other penguins at the zoo, who have ostracised the gay couple from their group. Now keepers have decided to segregate the pair of three-year-old male birds to avoid disrupting the rest of the community during the hatching season.

A keeper at Polar Land in Harbin, north east China explained that the gay couple had the natural urge to become fathers, despite their sexuality.

"One of the responsibilities of being a male adult is looking after the eggs. Despite this being a biological impossibility for this couple, the natural desire is still there," a keeper told the Austrian Times newspaper.

"It's not discrimination. We have to fence them separately, otherwise the whole group will be disturbed during hatching time," he added.

There are numerous examples of homosexuality in the animal kingdom, but gay penguins have captured the public's attention more than any other species.

A German zoo provoked outrage from gay lobby groups after attempting to mate a group of gay male penguins with Swedish female birds who were flown in especially to seduce them. But the project was abandoned after the males refused to be "turned", showing no interest in their would-be mates.

In 2002 a couple of penguins at a New York zoo who had been together for eight years were "outed" when keepers noticed that they were both males.

(+)Positive (-)Negative Relationships

With magnets, different polarities attract one another and like polarities repell one another. I am not saying that when dating, you should be 100% different, if that was the case, then there would be no connection at all. After all, a magnet is attracted to metal and other magnets, not plastic.

When 2 magnets first come into contact with one another, there may or may not be a reaction at all, depending on the strength of the magnets and what polarities are facing one another. If 2 magnets of the same polarities meet, and the are of equal strength, then they could in time create an even balance with each other, but never really bond. If 2 magnets of different polarities meet, and they are of equal strength, then they will bond immediately and prefer to be in this position as opposed to any other.

In either of these situations, if the strength of the magnet were to be different in any one direction, then the bond could faulture or change. It could even cause the the magnet to flip changing the polarities which in turn will change it's reaction to the other magnet.

Dating or relationships could be described with magnets. When you first come in contact with someone there could be an immediate attraction, there could also be a noticable void between the 2 of you. If you are both of the same polarity, you may choose to stay together, even though you do not have the bonding connection. This could be a feeling of want or need controling you. There could be a case where you meet someone that is of an opposite polarity of you, and when togehter you just feel like everything fits. Only time will test the strengths, either strengthening the bond, or causing a complete polarity flip.

I have recently met someone, and I can't explain it, but I feel a connection with him. There are many things that we do like, I mean, damn we are both guys and have many similarities, but in areas where we are different, the differences are more extreme. Even so, we don't care and are at a comfortable mean with the other and their differences.

I think the strongest attribute of any one, or any relationship for that matter is each persons sole ability to accept those things that they cannot change and be open minded to those things they do not like or feel comfortable with. Once this has taken place, the bond of 2 people can become stronger with time.

M&M's and Evolution

I found this browsing the internet. I did not write it, but it is pretty interesting.

From R. Crutch:

Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels.

Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them breaks and splinters. That is the "loser," and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round.

I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world.

Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment.

When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3x5 card reading, "Please use this M&M for breeding purposes."

This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this "grant money." I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion.

There can be only one.
